The Flying Hippo, large maquette now available in the studio

The Flying Hippo Maquette

My Flying Hippo is a medium sized maquette in cast bronze. Female Hippo is swimming gracefully through the air, weightless as if immersed in water.

Size; L/B/h 64/51/80cm in a patinated stainless steel box; 40/40/10cm

My choice of patina, a deep ferric red to purple resembles their natural colour while emphasizing volume with greens, yellows to turquoise in the dark recesses.
