The Kingfisher is in plaster for bronze, on an edition of twelve.
The human fetal image relates to the overall theme and next to him is the fish fetal image..
I use etching ink to colour the relief carving. This enables me to see what I am doing in the white plaster.
Jellyfish and fish revolve around the male and female figures.
The 1.65m pillar of carved plaster is an exercise in bass though to intaglio relief.
The finished bronze sculpture is on exhibition in my gallery in Stellenbosch on 44 Church Street
