New work and theme

My new work that I’m busy is based on my long distance relationship.

 

The subject is "Barbara" and the sculptures I am working on are variations of  Images as double sided relief sculptures. They are portraits in plaster for bronze.

 

 Images are peaceful and I attempt to capture the inner distance and silence between us as well as the mutual persistance of belief of our powerful feelings for one another. The main communication we have is through Skype and msn hence the relief influence. I started working on the images soon after work on my Fish images.

 

I am integrating 22 carat Gold as it is undeniably precious. The images are entitled "Goddess" and "Queen" they are in plaster for bronze, finished with oils.

 

The image of Goddess is potentially to be constructed on a large scale, about three metres, the image is of the maquette.
