Bronze Eagle in the patination process

The Patina process is a lengthy one. The bronze is heated with a powerful blowtorch until the bronze ‘sweats’.

Combinations of chemicals are sprayed onto the Heated Bronze surface, speeding up the natural oxidisation of the non-ferrous metal.

Depending on the recipe, the combinations result in beautiful colours that are set by applying wax to the cooled surface.
