Sprinting Warthog Maquette

Little Sprinting Warthog Maquette

Not so long ago, I got a fearful fright

Though then with tail between the legs

I took off with fleet footed flight

Pangolin being patinated

Pangolin locally known as Ietermagog is my latest sculpture character cast in bronze.

The Pangolin is a silent, mysterious mammal, a beautifully armoured beast.

I have made her female and she is curled up in a characteristic defensive manner, though here she reveals herself to the viewer.

She is another tactile, interactive sculpture, made to place and handle without a fixed position.

She forms a spiral, representative of the spiral of life.

These lovely creatures are sadly being hunted to extinction.

This is a monumental bronze sculpture, dedicated to the plight of the Pangolin.

Pangolin sculpture Progress pics

I am busy with a new Pangolin sculpture in sculpted wax for bronze casting,

The size of the sculpture is approximately 350/300/300 mm
Curled into a typical ball Pangolin becomes a sculpture that has interesting volumes from full bodied round armored body to delicate clawed limbs.
A gentle mysterious insectivore, that only comes out at night…
